Amy Beatty has always been chaotic and scatterbrained, no matter how hard she tries not to be. When she was in high school, a friend’s mother once quipped that “Amy” must be short for “Amnesia.” A stroke and two rounds of chemotherapy over the years have done nothing to improve matters.
