I had this conversation with my teenage daughter on the way to school today:
Daughter: So Mom, do you feel like a big deal yet?
Me: Maybe a little. But I still feel like any minute now somebody's going to look around and see me and go, "Hey, what are YOU doing here? How did you even get in here? You go back outside with the lame wannabes where you belong!"
Daughter: Well, now when those people show up, you have a published book with your name on it that you can SMACK them with.
Daughter: And a podcast interview you can stab them with when they're down. ;)
[Moral of the story: Sometimes even your mom needs a good pep talk. Be that kid.]
[Other moral of the story: It's always the sweet, innocent-looking ones you have to watch out for.]
Aaaaand . . . drum roll please . . . it’s TRUE! Yesterday I had a fun conversation about Dragon Ascending with Daniel Swenson of the Dungeon Crawlers Radio podcast. And since Daniel is an editing ninja, it’s already live on the internets for your listening pleasure. And just in time for Halloween, too!
Happy Halloween, dear friends.
And happy listening.
